Hi, does anyone know anything about this?
Is it organised by the BVS or was it?
Is it on this year?
Is the "revolve" eco-rally the replacement?
I have emailed www.eco-rally.org as I understand you have to be invited to enter.
Sounds like fun though, anyone else doing it?

That looks more like a corporate look how wonderful we are type thing, where as the BVS one is London to Brighton and done by actual users of EV's 8) not a bunch of politicians who generally get chauffeured about

To my knowledge the L2B run will be happening this year, the normal problem is getting the EV's there and back home again :(, for me unless its trailered to London in the first place its a non starter really due to recharge times, but I have taken part 2 or 3 times now 8)

I'd like to try and do it this year as I missed it last year sheerly due to the above, but I'm trying to source some transport to get me up there.

Best give John Crayton, or Events (AT) BatteryVehicleSociety.org.uk a shout (replace the (AT) with @)

John normally runs this event, if you look through some of the past events you will see the sort of style it follows from past years.

Heres one from 2007 viewtopic.php?f=18&t=300&start=40

I did the round trip London-Brighton-London in my G-Wiz in 2008. For me that meant driving the G-Wiz into London on the Saturday and leaving it on charge overnight. On the end of the return trip the vehicle was again left on charge in London overnight. I collected it early on Monday morning and returned home.

OK if you have somewhere to charge it I suppose and the time to be able to do it.

Sadly for me thats a non starter on all accounts, no where to charge it and generally I've got other things that need doing, work etc that stops me from taking 3 days to do a trip that actually only takes about 1hr and half

Its good fun to do though when I am able to get to do it 8)
