Its seems to good to be true with the stat it has .

I also had my eye on SAKURA S50 , which from 2 reviews I've read sounds very good.

The Ecomoped claims to have a 1500W motor, so it's too big to be classed as an "assisted pedal cycle". That means, you'll need a tax disc, registration, insurance, a bike licence and a helmet. The tax disc would be free, of course.

The Sakuras (at least, the ones that I've seen) are 250W and therefore classed as assisted cycles. No helmet, licence, insurance, etc. required. Anyone over 14 can ride/drive an assisted pedal cycle on the road (the same rule applies to the Sinclair C5).

I've got one of the aforementioned pedal variants (sub 250W) Sakura scooters.

Mine does about 18/20 mph on the flat with good batteries and a bit of help from the rider, or 16/18mph on the flat without.

Nikki.

Hi ,

I was looking to the scooter as opposed to the pedal assisted .

Really I was looking at an alternative to a gas scooter for various reasons.
