I have now tried to tell peeps that I have a charging point available in Maidstone Kent under two login names, but I cannot see my location appear on the map nor any other peoples charging points. Is it me or has no-one else said they would be prepared to help a fellow EVer with a charge ?
John
Is the charging points database actually working ?

Hi John,
are we talking about Tim Nicklin's EV-network? (http://www.ev-network.memberlodge.org) ?
I just looked and you're on there! Quite clear as day - with an internal 13A socket in your garage
Nikki.

EV charging point database
I also wanted to list myself as a 'energy supplier' in the database, but my apartment location won't allow it as ther is no parking space! As soon as I move I will make sure there is another charging point available.
I took up the idea to build a UK EV charging point as well on my own ecocar-forum website (http://ecocarforum.com), but then discovered the the already existing website. Instead of reinventing the wheel I encourage now my forum users to register on http://ev-network.memberlodge.org/ and I hope it will have a positive effect on the number of charging points in the UK...
