I have also ordered a 72 volt 100ah pack from TYC Track Ltd. for my Fiat 126 conversion. These batteries can't deliver huge amps so won't be suitable for connecting to a Zilla controller but should suit my modest requirements. Will post an update when I receive them in about a month.

My first winter in the Scottish Borders saw my range nearly cut in half! The cold hits lead very hard because the voltage they can deliver tends to be lower. This then means you have to pull more amps for the same performance and so leads to a snowball type scenario. Lower voltage, more amps which l...

Re: Good Reports
Some very extensive discussion on this interesting forum about it. http://www.endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2931 Might try some myself if TS price is too high and build up a 144v 50ah pack. :? When you said very extensive discussion you could have warned us that the thread is 6...

We can't wait for the cheap battery to come along before we decide to buy a EV because it won't happen. If EV's are not being sold because people are waiting for cheap batteries then there won't be any cheap batteries because they aren't being produced because no one is buying EV's (The chicken or t...

I think that many, but not all people would want to spread the cost of the batteries over their life time, and it makes since to do that. But I also think leasing could be improved on even further. There have been some trials of putting the batteries in EVs to use while they are plugged in to the gr...

Trailer
You could split the pack into 2, one in the berlingo to handle ordinary driving and a trailer full-o-lithium for those longer journeys.
The other option would be to convert the berlingo to a milk float, that would fit those batteries in!

Re: Pricing
The price of £1.00-£1.10 per Ah is our target price and comes from 'Reap Systems' We won't know an accurate or final price until we have suffcient expressions of interest and they (Reap) have approached TS on our behalf for a quote on our bulk order. I believe the price quoted varies wildy on...

Re: UK Thunder Sky Bulk Purchase Thread
The price I/we are aiming for is £1.00 - £1.10 per Ah inc vat and import duty/shipping etc. So a 50ah cell will cost £50-£55 each. We could get lucky and depending on total quantity maybe get a lower price! How did you arrive at the figure of £1.00 - £1.10 per Ah and is this for L...
