Re: Remy HVH250 group buy.

I was very approx quoted £10,000 for a one off yasa 400 motor and matched sevcon G4 controller for a 400v 150kw system about 6 months ago where I spoke to there chap on a trade stand.

Sorry i'm not up for a group buy on the motor you mentioned but would consider the yasa 400 setup.

Re: Remy HVH250 group buy.

I must say, I wasn't aware they were VAT exempt ! Dave. I wasn't implying they were exempt, I was highlighting the fact that prices from abroad don't include the vat and import duty etc you will have to pay when it arrives in UK so they can appear competetive until you factor all that in. Also if i...

Re: Remy HVH250 group buy.

I suggest you seriously consider the powerful UK based yasa-400 motor and the others in the product range.
They use a sevcon gen 4 controller also UK based.

Much lighter and more compact for a start. No import duty customs, vat etc etc

Correct!
Change it to 1k max and check scope again.
Try 510R if it is still not much crisper.

Re: Old BMS Software Thread

The Debug baud rate in the master is used to drive the screen so leave that at 9600. The timeouts are used to prevent the program hanging at that point if no data is being recd. In the slave for instance in the abscence of any data it will still loop every ten seconds and take voltage readings and t...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread

Post the exact software you are using, some good quality pics of your boards, and some video of what it is doing. With six cells you should see 3 packets of data on the slave bus & 18 packets of data on the master bus per second. Remember for each cycle the master sends out 1) Turn loads off and...

Re: 14 Cell 12F1822 Slave Board for A123 28S3P Packs

Now finished 8 boards which is enough for my 4 x 28S3P A123 oem blocks.

I will run one pair in series in my Insight test car to give a 60A capacity ~180V Pack
Ditto in a new HCH1 Hybrid Honda Civic I will be buying this weekend with luck.

Re: 14 Cell 12F1822 Slave Board for A123 28S3P Packs

Well after a few minor glitches and issues now got 4 boards built and two up and running on my bench test setup. I tried to use the chip internal pull up for one comms channel  that did not work as it was far too weak  so I had to hack on a 4.7k resistor to the pcb. Not an issue and easy...
