Re: One for the little'un

Thanks for the (old) comments guys... We went to see the stage production of Chitty the other day, she loved it - and it seems the DVD is on a constant loop in our house - even my youngest is singing along now! Few old vids off my phone:- Link to a vid of the first test day... http://www.youtube.com...

Re: lithium vrs lead

Hi Subevo What spec Lithiums did you get a price for Current, Voltage etc... - and what BMS? I havea Zivan NG3 charger too, which I can get modified. If I can increase my range to say 40 miles my car would be infinitly more useful. The Lead in my cinquecento have pretty much had it - range is just 1...

Re: EV thieving little g!ts !!

I understand if the police were dealing with 4 murders or something at the time, but I seriously doubt it. It was a missed opportunity to catch some criminals! As it happens, my local councillor lives on my road, I wrote her an e-mail on Sunday morning and she popped over in the afternoon. She went ...

EV thieving little g!ts !!

Hi guys I think this is teh second case on here of someone stealing, or attempting to steal a converted car.... Saturday morning I went outside into my quite, leafy North London suburban street to find a rear window smashed on my little Cinquecento. I first thought they'd broken the windoiw to get t...

Re: Bike with push trailer

Thanks Jeremy I was thinking of building one, and it would be pretty punchy - maybe using the controller, motor and wheels from an EVT scooter I have inherited. Its 2kW with a top speed of 30mph, but the scooter itself weighs a ton (well, not quite, but its blimin' heavy). On similar lines, my broth...

Bike with push trailer

Hi guys Does anyone in the know, erm, know if the bike and trailer in the link below is within the law, or does it fall into a grey area? It looks like a good idea for longer journeys, bit heavy to drag around behind you when the cells go flat! http://www.evalbum.com/3226" onclick="window.open(this....

Hi Mike Very good information, nice and clear. As Chris B asks; at what point have you said its Ok to charge? I remember when I was building my car I had a look at this information. I found that a coal fuelled power station produces approx 800g/kWh. If my car used 250Wh/mile of electricity produced ...

Hi booboo

What time will your event open? Might pop along with my daughter, and have a look around the museum too.

Best regards

Hi Richard I explained the situation fully to the MOT people, who I sort of knew. They were happy to do the test, and just filled in the emissions bit as zero. They could have sat with the motor running at tick over (0 rpm) and held the probe at the back of the car for good measure, but they didn't!...

Hi guys My experience was similar, I'm sure I posted a few rants on here about it!!! It does seem that you have a nice chap to help you in the local office. The only way I could get my conversion signed off was to trailer it to my local office for an inspection AFTER I had it MOT'd and insured. They...
