Perhaps I'm older and greyer! In a garage overnight helped. And definately the not using it for business bit. Ashburton's pretty peace loving as well!

I found Footman James very helpful when I arranged cover for my Berlingo EV last year. I already had a policy for my classic cars with them. They were happy to arrange cover for me on the basis that the Van would be used for private use and not as a van for business. Premium was about £120 with a...

When mine had a poorly cell the electrical fault light came on when you encountered a hill it went in to limp mode and that was time to head for home and pray! Charging then cleared the fault light until the next time. The charger then started switching off at an ever lower percentage charge at whic...

I'd be up for a set for my Blingo, please. I've been thinking I'd better have a look to see how worn mine are. No idea how worn they were when I bought the van at 24,400 miles. Its now 27100 and rising!

No - nothing comes out during the charging cycle. I've got some electrolyte lurking in some old batteries. Could extract that (dodgy process!) and add some instead of plain water maybe?!!

If it doesn't overflow a bit then you can't tell its full. I followed exactly what Evan's instructions say and he reckons you have to let it overflow a bit and it should be plain water to start with. It certainly looked clear. Yes, the van is doing OK - a bit less range in the cold weather but still...

Water useage

I would be interested to know how much water people are putting in at maintenance charge time. Having stocked up with plenty for a recent maintenance charge I was amazed to only use 4 litres - and this after a jam jar full came out of the overflows of the five drain pipes. Having read that it is goo...

vaccuum system

Have been out of circulation for three months after being struck down with meningitus. Interested to see this subject still running. My Berlingo has been sitting about whilst I was ill. Now I'm back to using it again the occasional glitch with the vaccuum pump is now more frequent. It sucks up a vac...

Berlingo Register

I'm a bit of an old steam fuddy dud and computers are not my favourite thing. So, try as I might I can't see where to find the Berlingo Register - only this survey and reference to it and a google account whatever that is. Help! Whilst on I do enjoy seeing the little emoticons but nowhere can I find...

Yes, fitted new auxiliary battery last week. No overnight loss of any consequence now and recharging to 100% regularly. I'm doing 25/35 miles between recharges which are about every two/three/four days. Even risked coming down the A38 Devon Expressway this morning to work. Less power used as its a s...
