Re: Anyone know anything about the Smart Electric?
Thanks Anthony The Scrappie did ask was I the chap that had phoned before and about the battery. It would have been a lot better if they had it! I am getting 100 HiPower 50 Ah Cells so will be interesting to see where they can fit. Will need to build 50 more BMS modules so this is going to take a wh...

Battery cooling
Hi All I have been giving some thought to battery cooling. I understand the Leaf uses air cooling as well as heating if temperature were too low. I may be mistaken but I seem to have noticed the battery getting hotter when driving economically at 40 mph than when driving at 70 mph which seems counte...

Re: Anyone know anything about the Smart Electric?
Grumpy I think the charger is on top of the motor as the charge socket connects there. I assume the battery voltage was 300v on this version although 14 KWh so less than 50Ah. As you say it is hard to find the information on the net but I will keep trying as you have found it previously. I have just...

Re: Anyone know anything about the Smart Electric?
Thanks Grumpy-B I had come to a similar conclusion. Was bidding on a 2008 this morning but let it go as bit too dear. It had front damage so not ideal. I am really looking for one with a blown engine. Unsure if the Roadster of Four-four are at all similar. Bit unsure about the source of the running ...

Re: Anyone know anything about the Smart Electric?
Tim Thanks for coming back. It is a 2011 Smart that I have cannibalised so the latest of the three versions? Yes I agree its ridiculous but the vehicle has been sold to a scrap yard on a break only clause. Nothing actually wrong with the chassis other than slight distortion of one flange at the fron...

Mike
Sent you a pm about your sale.
I chose the Smart running gear because no adaption required and aircon and regen braking available.
I believe there are three versions of Smart electric, which did you work on?

Anyone know anything about the Smart Electric?
Hi I am about to start converting a Smart using parts from an electric Smart. Does anyone have any useful information? All I have found so far is that a company Zytek supplies the propulsion package which has three connections 12v, 300v and water. The battery pack replaces the fuel tank. There must ...

smart electric battery
Anyone know the voltage and amp-hours of the smart electric battery? I am off to buy a set of running gear to convert a fossil smart to electric spec but the battery is rented and retained by the manufacturer. I have read that it has 17.6 KWh and 300v so just short of 60Ah. Any other info much appre...

Re: Mobility scooter
I spent twice as much on a lithium set-up and am really pleased I did. They last 10 times as long and go much better.

All the Ecotricity fast chargers at the service areas have 3 phase as well as chademo DC. I am not certain if you can use both at once?
