Nikki, I was thinking along the lines of some cleverly crafted posts on other fora to lead potential members here.
The navitron forum for example is based around a renewable energy business but the forum is open to all commers, traders, DIY and dreamers etc.

A lot of very good points there Mike, spreading the word is really important. I have been thinking about how I found my way here and it was not a straight line! The Prius forum, 'It's not easy being green' and 'Navitron forum' led me to BEVOB, G-Wiz and back to BVS. None of this was planned they wer...

New challenge for you Nikki, I performed the 'filling the prius with petrol' ceremony yesterday and before filling I snapped the consumption display. http://upload8.postimage.org/841332/DSCF0026.jpg It's a bit fuzzy but that is 66.8MPG over 630 miles, I know I posted one with 66.4 MPG earlier but th...

I think Portsmouth has great potentential as an area to run EV's the City/ Southsea area is quite self contained, there are in fact only 3 roads on and off Portsea Island and one of those is a motorway. I vaugely remember that when I went to Portsmouth Polly in the early 80's the city council were e...

Chris, you don't want the 'most' little green cars (LGC's) you want the fewest for better fuel economy. Lot's of LGC's suggest accelerating towards red traffic lights and late braking, not the stuff an EV driver would do. Nikki, don't loose heart, not only is there a knack to good MPG you also need ...

I promised photos previously so here we go. http://upload8.postimage.org/623099/DSCF0013.jpg This is the energy display, as described earlier it shows the battery (and it's state of charge), the ICE and electric motor/ generator. All the animated links are blank because the car was stationary. As th...

I don't normally subscribe to conspiracy theories but this does sound contrived. I heard part of the discussion and the AA spokesperson said that people should wait until the 'new technologies' are better developed!! Without the early adopters* how on earth are the new technologies going to get bett...
