Re: Berlingo range, lack of.

All the evlite can do is to tell you haow many hours of charging since the last time it was reset. DOesnt mean they have been watered and you really cant tell how well they have been watered, until you explode one, then you know it was well over due. Just do the maintenance charge and watering. Do i...

Re: Berlingo range, lack of.

There are loads of details on this site, I have often re posted a regime for working out which pack has the problem cell, s, and way of getting the various packs out safely. Go back through the Berlingo postings, and you will find all you need. Where are you located? I have a few spares cells, as we...

Re: Aixam mega city service spanner reset

To keep his costs down, and he didnt need the range , he went for 8 rather than 12 batteries and the 8 cost him about £1200, but I would expect them to cost more now ( a few months ago) as stocks of the decent Yuasa batteries are not particularly high in the UK, so price tends to follow currency cha...

Re: Aixam mega city service spanner reset

With a low pack voltage, you are not going to get far or get the vehicle working properly, if its a really low voltage, then thats likely to be the cause of the spanner. You need a replacement set of cells. I recently supplied a set for a Mega Van, dont be tempted by cheap leisure batteries, they ar...

Re: set of batteries

Around 100E each isnt bad. But whats wrong with your pack. Its better to just replace the pooly cells, I tend to put the best cells of the pack in the centre box, the next best in the top engine bay box, and the others in the front and back boxes, as they are the quickest to replace. But as an inves...

Re: Leased batteries and vehicle salvage.

The last person who has the lease would still be responsible for payment, until the lease company passes the lease onto another person or it is bought out. So since V5 isnt an ownership document, they would follow the trail as far as they could, so whoever buys the vehicle would get some form of inv...

Re: Leased batteries and vehicle salvage.

The battery does not belong to the original car owner or the insurance company. So they cannot sell the battery pack. It should be removed before the vehicle is disposed of. If cat C or D the assumption would be the vehicle would be going back on the road, and as such the pack is likely to be left w...

Re: Converted commercial vehicle MOT exempt?

If getting the Tax online, and the vehicle has had an mot previously, then the online system will require you to have a valid mot. Regardless of the legal position. You may be able to do something different through a post office. If its a light goods vehicle and conforms to the construction and use ...

Re: Just got a 2003 Berlingo Electrique (with problems!)

Radiator Fan is on because the controller has decided it or the battery pack is too hot. Charging is when it normally comes on. Motor fan seems to come on at all sorts of times, some all the time. Never worried too much about it, but again there is a motor temp sensor, that probably controls it. Dis...

Re: Just got a 2003 Berlingo Electrique (with problems!)

Since the part is retained in the side of the battery, I remove the guts that are sealed in the small sensor and replace the innards, Its not a std off the shelf component, I havnt done exchange since another BVS member failed to return the item, so I then had no exchange units. You can simply put a...
