Re: Controllers?????????????????????

Did Jeremy not respond? I recall quite a few posts by him About a VERY large model aircraft motor and even about how to construct a controller to match Surely if the helicopterfiend can find a controller, then maybe it's just down to gearing? I used a high ("-ish"?) revving chinese 36v.dc ...

Re: SMMT electric car guide

Hi, Tim, thanks for making us aware of this report Some queries...... "Rapid charge.....at dedicated charge bays. This will charge the average pure-electric car in around 30 minutes" - Really? Pure-EV ‘tank to wheel’ average = 0g CO2 /km Pure-EV ‘well to tank’ average = 77g CO2 /km12 Pure...

Re: Cambridge Crude

Hi, Tim Read the link, apparently a LONG way to go, but noticed the "etcgreen.com" link..... in one post Anti EVs, but they do make a case for: "2nd./3rd.-generation biofuels" and "growing on land where food crops will not" and "...land...used for 1st. generation b...

Re: Controllers?????????????????????

These are only guesses: 8640 rpm at 48v.dc / 150 amps ? Wonder if a Curtis 48v.dc golf-trolley controller might do it ? BUT..... CAUTION, you need a proper engineer's advice Maybe EV parts in the USA or Jozzbikes in Peacehaven, Brighton, UK or Model aircraft controller + some form of CVT to combine ...

Re: Controllers?????????????????????

Hi, from Ed the Bodgineer Not sure what would be best, but I'll start with some basic questions (then hope someone who does know will respond as well.....) Can you post any details from the motor labels, such as voltage or watts or amps? (Or am I creating confusion, perhaps these motors are not rate...

Re: Brooklands Museum - Double 12 event Sunday 19th June

Wish I could be there I sometimes even think of moving to the South or South-East, just to have easier access to interesting events Then I go swimming (for free this year!) in the Lido on Plymouth Hoe Or hear traffic reports from the South-East on Radio 2... And decide to stay in the sticks All the ...

Re: what will this motor perform like?

1st. guess: Builder as test-pilot, with all safety-gear, and on a slight upslope, just in case? 2nd. guess: May be a tad hard to steer if no differential? 3rd. guess: Run a tape measure round the tread of each tyre to find the different circumferences Maybe 23 ins around the mobility-wheel, 52ins ar...
