Re: Motor brushes oh boy!!!

The original spec Schunk brushes were of a harder material, which they subsequently changed as it was thought to cause fast wear rates on the commutator. The subsequent 105 material is the spec to which mine and others get their brushes manufactured. As the cars get older, I think a slightly faster ...

Re: More Belingo van troubles , charging not intialising ?

Please accept appologies for the bad drawing. There is a lead coming through the offside inner wing from the charging flap, (Actually a number, mains and direct charge as well) and goes to a small round multiway on a bracket at the front of the chassis rail. Split the plug / socket by turning the jo...

Re: Motor brushes oh boy!!!

I keep brushes in stock, so let me know if you need them. The official solution was a set of specially shaped stones that fitted the brush holders and could be moved in and out to remove the spatter. Could be done with a piece of hard wood and emery cloth, or even a piece of aluminium. As a matter o...

Re: Another EV bike :)

Battery monitoring systems dont kill batteries, but battery management systems that do active top bleeding do. I see the results of faulty BMS bleed systems on a virtually weekly basis, I have one car at the moment that has a monitoring and active bleed system, its been in a frontal accident, not to...

Re: Zivan ng3 charger help please

Talk to electrofit zapi in the UK.
They are helpful and whilst they will charge for any work, they tend to be reasonable.
The pots have only limited voltage control.

Re: More Belingo van troubles , charging not intialising ?

Its inside the wing. I did note the cable connections, but im away until Monday. I will post that as you can then check the pins on the multiway round connector on the drivers side inner edge of the front chassis rail, a lead comes through the inner arch and stops at that plug/ socket on a steel pla...

Re: power meter problems

If it gets into the 30s I think your starting to get into trouble. I did a thread on this some time ago. If I get time I will try and find it. I have done repairs on these sensors for some years, but I have to have yours first, unfortunately I had one member who never returned the faulty item, so I ...

Re: power meter problems

If its had cells changed, do a maintenance charge and water. Or if already watered do a balance charge. If it shuts down early then it can be because the temperature has gone high in the top battery sensor. Tha high temp will also cause the eco light to come on and the van shut down. Look at what th...
