Cedric only managed to fit around 10KW/h on the bike for the race. Steve Damn, that must have been cutting things close. At an average speed of 87 mph my back of an envelope sums say you need 20kW. The race lasted just under half an hour, so there couldn't have been much left in the tank. What was ...

Interesting discussion! Just for information, the consensus on the Mini forum seems to be that the mini engine and gearbox with ancillaries and fluids weigh around 140kg.

Wow, that machine really flies. The riders seemed to like it too.

Is this the bike that Steve (Jozzer) built with the two Agnis? What size battery pack is it using now, or is that still under wraps?

Good to hear you've got another project going Greg. I'll be following this closely. The Matiz looks like a good choice and should really shift with a 9" motor. On the subject of calculations, I came across this excellent book not long ago that covers all aspects of sustainability and the number...

Thanks for showing us all your toys Peter (and letting us take some apart). I was seriously impressed by your research facility, I reckon Honda could learn a thing or two as well. Steve: next time, switch the flash off before taking a picture of us at the most critical moment of dismantling a 200Ah ...

It's an American guy who has stripped out the engine from his car and explains that he is converting it in collaboration with Black&Decker. Squatting over the front of the car, he reaches down to where we see a cordless drill attached to the gearbox input shaft. He then proceeds to drive up and ...

Hi Phil Good to hear from another northerner. There's not many of us up here, but I'm in Newcastle. I'm also in the process of converting a Domino (fibreglass) mini – very slowly. Charles Rhoden-Rhodes (aka Tesla's fag packet) lives in Leeds and is also converting a mini when he isn't fettlin...
