Yes, my other car is a Por... er Prius. Hand throttle is now swapped for more conventional foot operated system aka pedal. Mounted the pot on the front of the original pedal pot, seems to fit rather well, activated via a push(well, pull) rod. Since first run I have made a few adjustments and improve...

I asked Albright: I am looking for a suitable emergency disconnect switch for an electric vehicle application, to handle a nominal 300Vnominal/150A maximum circuit. Your ED252 model seems to be the highest rated I can find in your online catalogue. Can you guide me to the appropriate model in your r...

You could look at the "Emergency disconnect" switches made by Albright International. Should be able to handle 300A. Indeed, thanks for the hint, according to their catalogue they seem to be OK for 250A but only at 150V. Given my system will be 300V nominal and 150A max (after consulting ...

I've just had another exchange with Azure Dynamics (very fast reply again) and they say: correct, please do not use the Kilovac. You will probably see abnormally long precharge times – minutes – if you were to use it. When the 12V supply is off, the DMOC is disabled, so we recommend le...

Thanks Greg for the look through. On the 12V, the original battery has a 150A fuse sort of hard fixed into the connector, so I thought I would just keep it. However, I have since got another smaller gel battery (to fit in the cubby hole in the floor) which needs new connectors, so I will almost cert...

Azure Dynamics confirmed my DMOC445 has a precharger, so no problems on that front.

Sorry for the link c$%^-up and thanks for sorting it out...

I'm checking to see if my DMOC445 unit has a precharge function (seems some do, some don't).

Draft schematics for 12V and 300V circuits for my conversion

Hi all, I've made a first attempt at the schematics for the 12V and 300V wiring in my conversion. They are two PDFs, can be download from this page: http://groups.google.com/group/audia2ev/web/design-new-electrical-systems Any comments and advice appreciated before I blow anything up...

You've probably already thought about this, but I notice you mentioned breaking up the battery pack. From what I've read of others' experiences with lithium packs, they stress the importance of keeping the pack together, or at least making sure that temperatures and wiring runs are kept as uniform ...
