A duifficult one on the carbon issue. Grid electricity generates around 500g of CO2 for each kWh of energy delivered. So an EV getting 250Wh/mile is producing about 125g of CO2 per mile or 78g/km which is better than a Prius. Also wheras our Berlingo gets about 300-350Wh/mile (110g CO2/km at worst)....

I bit the bullet and sent the heater off to an authorised service agent having checked the pump as best I could ans was rewarded with a nice clean heater and a new burner cartridge fitted (oh and a bill for 180 pounds). Hi, I have (long ago) made glassfibre things and the way we did moulds was usung polyureathane foam (a 2 part mix) which makes a strong rigid lump which can easilly be shaped with knife/surform etc. you then cover it in a gel coat and then put a mould release agent (usually PVA..like the wood glue) ...

Just to keep all informed of progress..or lack of it. I pulsed a load of petrol through the pump as Chris described. But the heater still runs for a minute or so and then shuts down. I think it is time to take it off the vehicle for further investigation over xmas...unless anyone has better ideas? N...
