Re: 25 Cell Multi Slave Board
Just finished some testing on the fully assembled boards with the new values, everything seems to be working great, and getting accuracy of inside 20mV, very pleased with that

Re: Old BMS Software Thread
Just re-programmed the chip, and the problem still persists.... here is a link to a longer video of what is going on http://www.youtube.com/user/danmachen#p/a/u/0/HLhpg2OPCM8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; just for a test we put in an old version of the PICAXE chip into the board, an...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread
This is what the screen looks like from start up, we have also tried using the buttons to go to the sub-menu but the system is unresponsive. Not really sure the cause of this problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWWCl9gNmfc&feature=channel_video_title" onclick="window.open(this.href);return fa...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread
This is the current code we are using for testing, I made sure to go into PIC16f886 config file to prevent the "overwriting previous address contents" error The forum is not letting me upload a .txt file, but here is the full file name is you still have it on your computer MASTER_V27_09021...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread
The version we are first testing on the hardware is v27 of the master code, unmodified. We thought it would be wise to get that up and running before we load the modified code we are working on. Just so we can reduce any cause for error. The eeprom I was referring to was I2CREAD Scdeeprom,Sckeeprom,...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread
Thank you for all for your help so far, we've just finished getting out communication with the chip sorted and have successfully loaded our hex files onto the chip. However, some problem in the way it is being loaded is posting random characters to the screen. (seen below)... I'm sure I might have r...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread
All is well. We were using the board you gave us to test with. The problem came from putting the EEPROM in the wrong way after we loaded our new program onto the chip to test if it was working. The PIC16F886 got damaged so we have replaced it and all seems to be well again. We were trying to ...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread
Hi, I've been having problems with the power supply to the master board. After switching on the 12V supply voltage there was no activity on the board. Also the L7805ABV voltage regulator got extremely hot. when putting a voltmeter across the terminals the output voltage started at 3V, and continued ...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread
we think we may have found the problem... obviously v27 works for you as it is, so it looks like the error could come from the version of MPASM that we are using, either they have changed some of the syntax or the newer versions contain bugs. the one we have installed is MPASM 5.42. There are a few ...
